5àSec to expand in Asia and Europe
5àSec, one of the world’s leading retail chains in textile care and treatment services, has unveiled the signature of its two new master franchise agreements – one in Romania and the other in India.
The two partnerships are in line with the group's strategy to develop and strengthen its operations worldwide and consolidate its position as the world leader in the textile care industry.
Gaining a foothold in Romania forms a part of the development strategy the brand has adopted in Eastern Europe since 1999. In this region, 5àSec is already operating in Poland, Hungary and Ukraine. Its first Romanian outlet, in Bucharest, was opened last February.
5àSec is also set to open its first store in Juhu, Mumbai, by September this year. SB Fabcare Pvt Ltd is the master franchisee of the brand in India.
Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Suresh Bhatia, MD, SB Fabcare Pvt Ltd, said, “After opening the first store of 5aSec in Juhu, Mumbai, the company plans to open five more stores in Mumbai within a year time, followed by New Delhi and other territories thereafter.”
"The cleaning techniques used by the group are totally tailored to the specific needs of the country. Thus, tunics and saris, shawls and stoles, coats and cardigans, lavishly adorned with pearls, embroideries and silver threads can be cleaned with the best possible care," he informed.
Gilbert Bieri, international director, 5àSec, said, “We are pleased to have new partners joining 5àSec Group. The universality of our concept and the service provided to our customers are our major strong points, enabling us to expand our business with success in countries opening up to modern distribution methods.”
Founded in 1968, 5àSec Group has developed a unique concept of retail textile treatment shops, providing customers with the guarantee of a fast and high-quality dry cleaning service. Accounting for over 1,800 outlets spread over 20 countries, the group is due to launch around 100 new shops worldwide this year.
